Be the DIFFERENCE

Time is something none of us can bank on and therefore we should by now as people know not to waste time but i guess we live to learn because for some funny reason we love procrastinating.  We love saying “one day is one day” how i wish we could change that and say “one day is today” so that we can get up and ACT . Time is one thing that is precious and if invested in wisely it can make a difference. When we sacrifice our time and invest in being there for others it is truly life changing , not only to the giver but to the receiver.

In this week some South Africans have decided to utilize Social Networks to complain about the quality of Education in SA and their disappointment at how the government has failed to deliver as far as Education is concerned.  Voicing your opinion towards change is important as each and every one of us is a catalyst towards that change we wish to see. I think instead of just talking and airing our views we need to go as far as being active and getting our hands dirty and finding solutions that will work and bring about change.

Have you tried to adopt a School that you make a difference to? Have you gone back to your former High School to see how your time , your finances and advice can be utilized to make a difference towards Education and any Social issues affecting South Africa or your country? We speak so candidly in our private or personal spaces about issues such as rape and violence but we seldom go out there and really give support where it is needed. What are we afraid of? Our attitude towards time , towards the power of living in the now and making a change now truly needs to change. I challenge myself everyday and it is not easy but it is also not impossible.

It is my hope that we  use the time we have been blessed with to inspire the change we wish to see.  it is an investment that will build and enhance someone’s life and God knows we need a lot of those investments into our societies. Let us use our gifts even in the situations where we think they are insignificant , someone needs them. It has be proven time and time again that money is not everything but that personal touch is EVERYTHING. So go out there and BE THE DIFFERENCE. Don’t talk about it, be involved , make your voice heard and better yet go out there and show others how it’s done.
