FRONT ROW (SAFW, AUTUMN/WINTER 2013)

I have always wanted to attend a Fashion Show but for the life in me i cannot understand why i never invested time in doing so. I remember entering the COTTCO Fashion week in 2003 and it was such a nerve wrecking experience , but definitely fun. I was so scared to submit my designs and was not sure how the judges would interpret them. I am happy to say my Designs were accepted and chosen for the Fashion Show in Harare. I wish i had the designs so i could show you what this amateur hand could do back then. I unfortunately could not attend the Fashion Show as i was writing my “A” Level exams. I was proud that as a first time ,non experienced Designer my work showed at this Fashion Show.

Since then my passion for Design grows everyday and Styling is my tool to ensure that i help enhance the lives of man and women out there, one make over at a time.

Yesterday i attended the 1st show for the SAFW Autumn/Winter 2013. It was the hair show in partnership with TREseme and Motions. I must say i was really impressed. I wish more people would take Hair Styling as seriously as they take Fashion Styling that way they would be more Hair shows and more Hair Stylists to show case their art. Hair, make up and clothes can never be seperated.

I can tell you one thing those front row seats are the REAL DEAL. Some people pay to attend these shows and thanks to Weza Solange i was privileged to be there, front row. It was an awesome experience. From the ballet dancers, to the Stylists on stage doing their thing. It was so dramatic, just the way i like it.
