Gareth Cliff leaves 5FM…

MNet Idols Judge and 5FM Radio Host Gareth Cliff has announced that he is leaving the 5FM station.

This is not an April  Fools Day joke as Gareth confirmed the news via his Twitter account this morning and before long the Radio host was trending on Twitter with mixed emotions from fans of the Radio Station as well as Celebrities in SA. Gareth Cliff joined 5FM exactly 10 years ago and has been known to be controversial Radio Host. He will definitely be missed.

He had this to say on his website about his resignation  ” It’s time for a change. My team and my audience are like my dysfunctional radio family and we want to offer something new and exciting. After two suspensions and several close-shaves, dozens of BCCSA complaints and almost as many management changes at the SABC, it’s time to get unhinged”

He did not really say much about what this new adventure is but i am sure we will know soon. it seems his his team will be joining him on his new venture. Gareth has also mentioned that the 1st of May 2014 will mark a new era for him

Hmmm… I think it’s an April Fools joke and the only one actually leaving is Sias, who’ll be joining a certain tv sportscaster full time. Then again, I am an intensely distrustful person, so not the best one to have an opinion.
