How realistic is God?

Since June 2017 I have found myself in a new beautiful place spiritually. It is exciting and sometimes I am still challenged which is good because without challenges we don’t grow or become better people not only for us but for those who also relate with us on a personal or everyday level.

I have an overwhelming feeling of gratitude in all the little milestones my business is making , how the family is doing and my little gifts in life. It’s peaceful and I must say I love it. Once in a while I do find myself complaining about everything buy I am blessed to be surrounded by honest prayer warriors who remind me quickly who I am.

These questions took me back to the times when I was struggling in every area of my life and I asked myself, how realistic is God? I don’t know what prompted this though but I guess it’s no coincidence.

When we have challenges and we are feeling low, where is God and how realistic are the things he expects from us in those moments? How realistic is faith? Doe he truly grasp the pain, the challenges or what we lack?

I was taken back to faith and what role it plays in our lives. Faith actually lives in the NOW, it is based on how much trust we have in God and we are encouraged to act upon what we are believing and hoping for. So God is very much a realistic God who is aware of the challenges his children face on a daily basis. I have noticed that what has drawn to me to this happy place is knowing and trusting God.

1. Things are tougher when you do not trust God

2. You seldom have peace because you are stressed very easily and over anything

3 . When there is no synergy between you, God and the Holy Spirit, the outcome is seldom one you would even like.

4. Trusting God to fix your situation or provide something you need requires trust and that requires surrender.

Sometimes people have faith but that faith has its own solutions. We are not called to help God to help us. If he knew the challenge before you and had the solution even before you asked him at what point did he ask for your help?

If God wanted all things we want and need to be automated he wouldn’t have a relationship with him but because he knows us so well he knew we would need to talk and hear from him. Plus what he did in addition to that was to give us the power to control our own destiny.

Which means if I am in a situation I cannot get out of, how much of that did I contribute to and if I am listening and observing what is God teaching you? For example you cannot just date the wrong men over and over and still expect God to rescue you at every turn. At some point you also have to open your eyes and see what you have contributed towards it.

When you have a looming tone of bills to settle and you have no clue where to start talk to God. Our challenge is that we have made friends, family or partners and especially our jobs and businesses  “the source “. A person can change their mind anytime. A job can end anytime and a relationship can go south when you least expect it but God is reliable.

Wherever you are and whatever you may be finding challenging, take it back to God. He told us the burden was not ours to carry. Therefore we don’t see other good things around us because we are stubborn in doing it our way and not his.
