I am falling in love

A while back I shared something I had found online when I was searching the internet for a picture for my blog post. It said “loving yourself is not vanity, it is a necessity”. I must have shared it more than twice or three times on all my social media platforms because it resonated with me and I could not wait to share it with others. The more I shared it the more I also reminded myself that self love is necessary.

Today I launched my 1st Facebook Live Series which is a talk show format that allows me to chat to some phenomenal men and women that I believe have great if not extraordinary stories. God knows we need to hear these and we should not stop being in pursuit of what makes us smile, warms our hearts and inspires us.

When we launched tonight we had so many glitches especially with the network and most people could not see the video or connect. I promise everything that could wrong did today but I am a strong person and I am resilient so I kept trying till I could connect to my guest. My first guest is a renowned Siuth African musician and I respect her time and availability so you can imagine how disappointing it was that network was acting up. Remember when you are live you cannot take a break to fix any glitches. Everything happens in front of your audience and if you do not know how to maintain your composure you may fall apart or pause the recording. Luckily that did not happen.

So you must be wondering what is the fuss about? I DID it!! I actually launched my first talk show series. While it feels exciting it is more the ownership of my dreams that is beautiful and I can only thank God for my talents. Even if 2 people could have logged in to catch the show I would have still gone LIVE. If I had not launched I would not have the lessons I have today and neither would I know if my dream was possible. Mant of us are held back by perfect conditions and waiting for that.

I am excited and grateful that my celebrity guest was patient and understanding through out this. I have been in front of the camera so many times and fear was not an option. I chose to see the positive I gained from the show and that has drawn me to back to myself. It has made me fallen in love with the woman I always knew was amazing and could do it. I feel like this year is my new forever mode.

I am falling in love with the sound and strength of my voice, that voice that says I Am here and I am a force.

Love sets you free. It does and saying YES to myself more feels darn good.

I am reading a book called ” Open Heart Therapy” by Bob Mandel and there is a specific part that says ” There is no perfect partner, there is no Mr Right or Mrs Right but just YOU! Become your own perfect partner. No one can fill that void in your life but you. Charity begins at home . Begin to love yourself and acknowledge yourself. He further says “Take a plunge into your own perfection”. What is stopping you?

Every chapter of the book is a light bulb moment. It also makes me realize how much unlearning we have to do as individuals and society too. I will definitely share the link to the page so you can access the interview and see what I am referring to.
