2018 has been a great year and I am utterly blessed and grateful for all the lessons learnt. A grateful heart begets more blessings and more joy and when I declared that this was my year of YES, God absolutely delivered.

Every year I set goals for myself and I know there is a great bunch of people who don’t believe in having goals and a vision board hung beautifully somewhere in their space. I thank God I am not one of those people. I couldn’t possibly start a year without goals let alone a day without a task list. I would lose my marbles ..
Vision Board planning has worked for me as I have achieved some of my goals for the year but over and above that I have maintained my momentum as far as my business and personal brand are concerned. What also helped me throughout the year was having someone to chat to when things got hard for me. An emotional accountability partner is what the doctor ordered and I am so glad one of my sisters offered to be there without me asking her.
My greatest secret is knowing who to choose as my counsel. Some folks are smart, others are wise, others definitely have experience and are well connected but not everyone wants what is best for you and not everyone can put aside their own ambitions for just a short while to help you become the best version of yourself. Jesus also had wise counsel in God and the Holy spirit and that went a long way to ensuring that he carried out his ministry with focus.
Choose thyself as much as you choose others
Surround yourself with people who are loyal
Stretch yourself no matter how painful and challenging it is. What lies on the other side of challenges is greatness
Stay assertive especially in business or at work
Always , always, always be grateful and say thank you for everything
Self preservation ( key component to finding balance)
Learn to be there for others
Take as many chances as you can.
Networking is not a destination
A support structure is a MUST!
Leave your heart on the floor! Give everything your all. You may fail but at least you don’t regret not showing up 100% yourself.
