“JUST DO IT”

Nike said it best when they said “just do it”. Why procrastinate??? It is one of those things we never get right as people. Life is short as we know and everyday is a new beginning and an opportunity to love, laugh, cry but most importantly grow mentally, spiritually and financially as well. Growth is important in any human being’s life at any level and in order for that to happen you as an individual know what you need in your life and how to go about achieving those set goals. What stands in our way is procrastinating..
JUST DO IT…New Year’s resolutions are a good starting point if you believe in them. I for one don’t even bother wasting my time with New Year’s resolutions. When i was in my early 20’s i did it because it was the trendy thing to do. Everyone would be talking about it and it felt awkward to not have any so i would come up with a few of my own too just to fit in.
As i grew older and became my own woman i was comfortable with setting 1 or 2 goals for they year and working towards that. CharmingROSE was a dream i had since i was 16 when i fell in love with FASHION but it took me over 13 years to start investing in my dreams. When you procrastinate and sweep things or goals under the carpet they have a nasty or unpleasant way of biting you when you least expect it. Literally speaking you get screwed. It may lead to frustration as in my case. So JUST DO IT.
I finally decided to just do it. I created a FB page first as a reminder to myself that i had a goal in mind and the more i logged into my account the more i reminded myself to do something about it. I was not going to write this goal down in a journal. It had to be visible in every aspect of my life so that i would not let go of the vision i had. There are goals or tasks that you can just jot down on a paper but they are some goals that are too important and you have to take a drastic step in order for something to happen. As P -Diddy says in one of his songs “don’t speak about it, BE ABOUT IT.
Being something requires action, right? With some tasks there has to be immediate action for you to see where you are headed and the milestones you are achieving. I finally did it. I obviously do things the unconventional way but it had worked so far.I registered for a Course with Colourworks International as a Stylist. I completed my course and i felt so EMPOWERED.I would have never known what that felt like if i did not allow myself that chance to go for it. I could not afford the course neither could i afford the air fares to fly to Durban but GOD made it possible and now i can hang my certificate up on my wall and look at with pride and joy.
I made that decision 3 years ago and i am happy and progressing in my career. Whether its a debt you need to settle or it’s a charity organisation you want to start or it’s losing weight JUST DO IT .
ALL THE BEST TO YOU!!!
