Mafikizolo wins BIG at the SAMAs…

The annual SAMAs were hosted last night in Sun City at the Sun City Superbowl. This time around i could not attend as i was hosting my own event on the 26th of April this past weekend. I was glad i could watch the Award Ceremony LIVE on SABC  1

Congratulations to all the Nominees and all the Winners. Mafikizolo’s Theo and Nhlanhla were certainly the King and Queen of the night walking away with eight awards. They won Album of the Year , Duo/Group of the Year and the much anticipated record of the year for their hit single “Khona”.

Other winners included Elvis Blue, Naima Kay, Rebecca Malope, MiCasa, Big Nuz,Zonke,

Nakhane Tour and many others. Nakhane Tour and many others. Nakhane Tour and many others.

My favorite performances of the night have to be Rebecca and Judith Sephuma as well as Dj Kent , Heavy K and Danny K. That was a brilliant idea to combine all three stellar Musicians together.

Some of the  Award presenters almost ruined the show. I don’t understand why Production teams seem to think that because someone can sing they have stage presence as a Presenter. Vusi Nova , Zonke and a couple of other musicians were so nervous and could barely read the auto cue clearly. That was so embarrassing and i can only imagine how the stars themselves felt. Sorry guys… Overall the awards were a great source of entertainment for the night.
