RIP Robin!!!

This morning I woke up to the news that Actor and Comedian Robin Williams passed on yesterday afternoon in his home in California. It is so heart breaking considering how this man has graced our TV screens for years and how his movies really made an impact all over the world. He was a remarkable actor and his resume speaks volumes of his passion for cinema and comedy. It so sad that we lose another brilliant actor to this illness called depression.

My old time favorite movie was Mrs. Doubtfire and till today I can watch it and laugh till  my lungs cannot take it anymore. He was famously known and will be remembered for his great work in movies like Jumanji, Goodwill Hunting, Good morning Vietnam as well as his amazing voice over work in Happy Feet.

According to Huffingpost and the Press Release issued yesterday Mr. Williams was last seen alive at his residence, where he resides with his wife, at approximately 10:00pm on August 10, 2014. Mr. Williams was located this morning shortly before the 9-1-1call was placed to Marin County Communications. At this time, the Sheriff’s Office Coroner Division suspects the death to be a suicide due to asphyxia, but a comprehensive investigation must be completed before a final determination is made. A forensic examination is currently scheduled for August 12, 2014 with subsequent toxicology testing to be conducted.

Robin was also said to have been suffering depression and was also going through rehabilitation since July 2014. In 2006 after 20 years of being sober, he checked himself into rehab for alcoholism. He opened up about his struggles with addiction to alcohol and cocaine in a powerful interview with The Guardian and on “Good Morning America.” He was aged 63 years of age and he left behind a wife and 3 children Zachary ,Zelda Rae and Cody Alan Williams.
