There is so much inspiration around us. Sometimes you just have to open your eyes and it’s in front of you. Life is too short to schedule this post for another day. Like they say on Social Media “TURN DOWN FOR WHAT”? So I am not turning down these posts I am coming across everyday. So if you think I am already over sharing, I will not apologize for that because Lord knows we need all the good news and inspiring stuff as much as we can take in.
The post I am about to share is by one of South Africa’s great and amazing actresses Rami Chuene. Without googling her or her Biography , she is popularly known for her role in Muvhango as “Kgomotso”. I came across this post on her Facebook page. Interestingly enough she wrote this post about a year ago in the month of August and I just came across it for the 1st time today.
“We all know the story of catching fish in Luke 5:1-10. We know Jesus told the disciples to go deeper into the water and the result was enough fish to break the bank. Yes, it’s about them becoming fishers of men, winning souls, etc. Then again it might be more personal, maybe about one moving away from the shore or dry land and go deep into the waters to catch “fish” enough to break the bank. Your life is a ship that has to move from dry land. Dry land can be unproductive tendencies, stale relations, baggage and simply hanging around people who don’t have your best interests at heart but you hang around because that’s what you’re used to or you’re simply afraid. On dry land there’s too much of ordinary and random things. To attract or catch extraordinary things you must dare to go and tread where nobody else is willing to go. The good thing about this is: when you’re in the deep, there’s no more beginning, there’s no ending. You’re just whole. I don’t know what your “fish” is but I know it’s not on dry land. Remove your ship from dry land, big fish don’t leave there. Let’s go deeper!”
This message makes you really think how many of us really have the courage, tenacity and patience to “GO DEEPER?” How many of us truly believe in that one thing which means a lot to us or perhaps could set us free? How badly do you want it? Going deeper means more work and not just looking on the surface for a quick way out. I am excited and I feel challenged by this message.
You can follow Rami for occasional inspiration and some funny posts regarding parenthood and just her life in general. She has an amazing sense of humor
