#ShakeItUp Mondays….

Are you trending on Twitter?? Are you on the cover of Destiny Magazine for starting and running a million rand business? Are you the most sought after Speaker or Coach? If not it’s okay welcome to my world!! The world of ordinary men and women who know and believe in the power of the seed planted. Who cares if you are not yet on the front cover of a magazine or if you have not received the accolade for a mover and shaker. I am not concerned about the ultimate prize and recog…nition. I am more concerned about the story behind what I don’t see. The story behind “things untold”. It used to bother me why it was taking forever to get to where I wanted to be. When I realized what my challenge was I had to really look in the mirror and have a moment to myself. How dare I prefer to take the shortcut? I won’t lie because I had those moments, plenty of them. I have promised that I will share the truth as I know it and as I have experienced it and that is what ‪#‎ShakeItUpMondays‬ are all about.

It is not about whether you will get there or not. You will get there . Let’s us look at your now, your today. Does it reflect the person you wish to see yourself as? Does it reflect your power to show up and shine? As young people we love the shine and the glamour but we do not know how to capitalize on the sweat and tears. What decisions are you making now that are paving the way for your dreams? No one just arrives at a point of a success without the tears and sweat.

So I want to challenge you today to embrace your season of pruning because something amazing and significant to your growth is being developed in you. Transformation is hard and at it’s best taxing and even the best of people fail to get to the end. How important is that dream? How important is that Degree? Don’t settle for the hype. It will be over soon and you will be left naked and alone with the realization that you settled. You gave in to the laziness, to the pessimism and the circumstances and took a shortcut.

Don’t settle!!! Keep pushing baby. The journey to that ultimate dream lies in your power to see and invest in the NOW!!
