Stand Firm in your Purpose

You need to believe your message.

We are living in interesting times, more and more people are supposedly ‘following their hearts’ People are seeking and searching for their callings, passions and purpose in life. We are trying many things to find our place under the sun. This is good.

The mistake we make though is we first seek external approval, praises and applauds. In the social media world we live in, if there are no likes and comments, shares or re-tweets on our posts we change course. We tone down or get more aggressive or get nicer or quieter, whatever the case may be, we adjust, downplay and water down our message because there was 2 likes instead of the 200 we expected.

Unfortunately that’s not how the road to greatness works, we (meaning you and I) must first believe in our message, our purpose and our calling. We need to stand firm and bold in our message/work no matter the response or reaction or non response and non reaction. We must be the first to believe the message. It all begins with us, it begins within.

Believe in your message this week, forget the external factors for a while. Speak your mind, post about your passions, tweet about what matters to you. Once you believe your message, we will believe it too. But you start. You lead.
