THE JOURNEY

Building an Empire is not as easy as walking a 5km Marathon.Even that may appear easier but to the one on that path it is not. I realize everyday as i experience challenges being an Entrepreneur that hope and faith is what i live on.

For my family it was hard for them to understand why i had quit my job with a huge Company like MultiChoice but i did. Obviously we had a family meeting about it and a few arguments here and there but i was not about to give in and go back to my Employer and ask for my job back. It was not about pride. I did not burn any bridges infact i left at a time when i loved my job and was making a difference in my Division. I chose to leave out of the love for what i do. I

chose to leave because for 7years i was enhancing someone else’s dream and it frustrated me. Sometimes i lay awake at night counting my achievements and it felt like thee was nothing. I was turning 30 soon and i wanted to have something to look back at with pride. That was my passion for Fashion and Image Consulting. I am 30 , i am a Fashion Stylist and carving my footprint one milestone at a time. JUST ON TIME.

In this journey you need all the help you can get and family and friends can be of immediate help or not . What ever your passion is you can’t build an Empire alone. It took me no  time to learn who the real friends are and who to count on. In middle of putting yourself out there, being rejected, losing and winning some the last thing you want is to lose friends, but it is great because of out of this experience you gain perspective.

Never be afraid to ask for help,because pride will help you build nothing. I have had to cut down on a lot of things which at some point were necessary but now they have turned into luxaries. When times are hard i remind myself that i can do it. I have given up too much to give up now.I repeatedly have conversations with me,myself and i that we are carving our footprint on Africa . That is a big dream and i have to go it my all. It will be hard but we love it when it is fun.Every milestone counts and i record it.This journey is not for all.You know what you want.Stand up for it and build your Empire.Fear will knock at your door,pay him no attention.This dream is too big for 2 lead actors.
