Anybody that knows me very well knowns that I am not a fan of Vans Sneakers, at all. Don’t ask why , let me just say Vans and I are not in the same whatsapp group. However the new collection that they have just released in partnership with Van Gogh Museum is everything!! If you are not much of a social media person anything and everything or anyone that is just doing something incredible or if it a great product worth raving about we just refer it to as “everything” down here in SA. So basically these sneakers a worth the rave.
Vincent Willem van Gogh (30 March 1853 – 29 July 1890) was a Dutch Post-Impressionist painter who is among the most famous and influential figures in the history of Western art. In just over a decade he created about 2,100 artworks, including around 860 oil paintings, most of them in the last two years of his life. They include landscapes, still lifes, portraits and self-portraits, and are characterised by bold colours and dramatic, impulsive and expressive brushwork that contributed to the foundations of modern art. His suicide at 37 followed years of mental illness and poverty.
Vans and the Van Gogh Museum proudly partnered to present an artfully designed collection utilizing Van Gogh masterpieces across iconic Vans Classics and premium apparel silhouettes, available worldwide August 3. The Van Gogh Museum will dedicate a portion of its profits from this project to the preservation of Vincent van Gogh’s legacy and collection of art; keeping it accessible for future generations.
Go grab a pair after all summer is around the corner and there is nothing that feels good like a new pair of shoes!! #methinks
