I have started the hashtag Winners Conversations so i can share with you the things i have come to learn in the past 4 years as a self employed young women. I believe that every story has a meaning to it and it must be told and as leaders we have a responsibility to share and inspire others to greatness because what we know can change someone ‘s life. So here are my #TipsToSuccess for this week’s

post 2

Be willing to learn #WinnersConversations….

When you are placed in a position of leading you have to accept that you are going to be placed in a position where you are also going to be a learner. No one person alone knows everything.  So the sooner you humble yourself and trust the process of learning the easier your journey will be

Vision Boards work!!! Use them #WinnersConversations

I think the first time i heard of Vision boards was on Oprah’s show and i thought it was a great idea but soon after i never implemented them. I underestimated how Vision Boards are really an effective tool to planning. They can be applied in your personal as well as professional life. They work. Every Leader needs a vision board as guidance towards their goals. Coupled with faith and prayer they will change your life. After all a vision board is just an extension of your desires so if anyone knows if something will work or not it is you.

Big dreams come with big responsibilities. be prepared to do the TIME!!! #WinnersConversations

I don’t know how many times i have had my friends complain about how they want to change their lives and go on and on about how they want a better life. I watch them and there is one thing i noticed. Given the opportunity to change their lives they make excuses. We all have dreams but the cream of the crop are those who are not afraid to get their hands dirty and do the TIME!! Earn your stripes and be committed to your dreams. It  sounds so much fun to go around saying i am a business woman/man but the work that comes with it is enough to make a grown man cry, some have given up. It is tough but not impossible.

Support is very important, you can’t do everything alone. Start looking and identify dependable and reliable people who support your dreams #WinnersConversations

Not everyone around will understand or support your dreams, that’s okay. This is something you may learn the hard way especially if you look up to family and friends. The good thing about leadership is that you can choose your team. So look around you and see who is supportive and committed to your dream and bring them on board.

Stubbornness is a trait that all successful people have. Giving up too soon means you don’t want it badly enough #WinnersConversations

My beautiful and awesome Big Brother Presenter and Channel O former Presenter Weza Solange once said “if you give up, you don’t want it badly enough”. We had a long conversation on the phone on that day and i remember how she motivated me not to give up on my dreams. The more effort i put in , the more the doors we closing in on me and  i just felt like i could only take so much. I was getting frustrated and as a result my work levels were dropping. You have to choose to be continuously stubborn. Many a times this characteristic is viewed as a bad trait but in business it is a good trait. You cannot allow anything to put you down. As a leader people are depending on you. The moment you become a leader it ceases to be about you. Don’t give up.

Have an AWESOME Wednesday!!!!
